Things are still going full speed

Well, Steve is done with his month at NTC training in California. The boys and I drove to Illinois to visit my family, picking my niece up in Atlanta on the way there. We had such a great time and loved seeing everyone!

We're back home, getting back into a routine again and trying to get ready for a really busy next two months. Within the next two months, we'll celebrate Hunter's 3rd birthday, face yet another deployment and who knows what else!

Steve and I were able to go out on a date this past weekend, we went to the Hinder concert here on Ft. Benning and loved it! They were great in person! We're planning another date night to the movies within the next week or so :)

Ethan has been crawling for about a month now!!! He started at six months old and is now pulling himself up to kneeling and trying to stand! Hunter is loving it that Ethan is able to crawl around and play with him a little more now - we have to constantly remind Hunter to play gently and carefully but I can say that both of them love the time they spend together.

We've decided to have Hunter's birthday a month early so that we can make sure Steve is home to celebrate with us. We can't decide whether to have it at Monkey Joe's or at home and we're torn between a Yo Gabba Gabba party or a Wall-E party.....but we're planning on having it Sept. 12th.

Well, it's time to get going. It's amazing that it's so much messier in the house since Ethan started crawling - I mean seriously, how much of a mess can a 16 lb baby make?! :) Baby wipes are my new best friends - they clean EVERYTHING and make it smell great too!

A lot has happened recently

So, I talked to my brother and he said I don't update my blog enough. :)

A lot has happened since I last updated. Hunter had his second birthday and it was so much fun! We made sure to make his day special. He had his party on Oct. 11th and although we were stressing trying to get ready for it, he had a lot of fun!

Steve graduated WLC (Seargent's training) - they're getting him ready to be promoted to Staff Sergeant. And Ethan is getting bigger and bigger! We had an ultrasound on Oct. 14th and got some great pictures of him!

Ethan is getting big and his kicks are getting strong!!! He really responds to sound now and whenever Steve talks to him, he gets very active! He is more active than I remember Hunter being. Only 3 more months!

We're looking forward to Halloween - we bought Hunter a superman costume after trying everywhere to find a Tigger one in his size! :) But, he'll make a cute superman!

The weather down here is starting to get a lot colder - at night it gets down to the mid 50's and we have the heater on in the house at full blast! But, it still gets up in the 70's or 80's most days.

I'll try to update this a little more often! I still think Brad needs to get a myspace account because I update that every day!

Updated pictures

Ethan Thomas

O'kay, so it's been a while since I updated. For those of you who don't know, we are expecting another little boy - Ethan Thomas! We were hoping for a girl but we are beyond excited that Hunter will have a little brother! I have my 20 week ultrasound in one week!
Hunter is doing great! We're preparing for his second birthday next month. We're having his party on the 11th since his birthday is on a Monday. Around 8 kids ranging from newborn to 7 years old will be coming along with 14 adults. We're having a clown drive down from Atlanta to do games and balloon animals for the kids so that should be fun.
Steve is finally going to WLC (Seargent's training) starting Monday. It's a two week course and even though he's going to be missing the ultrasound I think he's going to be relieved to get it done and over with.
We're going to be taking Hunter to the circus tomorrow and hope that he enjoys it as much as we think he will! He hasn't ever been and I guess this will be one way to see if he's scared of clowns before his birthday.

Boy or Girl on the way

O'kay, so the yard sale last weekend went all right. We didn't sell as much as we would have liked but we're going to try again next month when they have the post-wide yard sale.

We are excited about Friday though - we have a 3D/4D ultrasound scheduled to try to find out if we will be having a little boy or a little girl! I can't wait to find out!!! Also on Friday, I have an appointment with my dr. to see if he received the reports from my c-section with Hunter. I would like to have a natural birth this time around but he says it all depends on what kind of c-section I had.

We are also busy trying to clean off our front porch - all the yard sale stuff is still out there and with all the storms heading our way, we need to get it all boxed up and put it down in the basement. We are going to start preparations just in case. We need to go to the commissary to buy some canned food and bottled water, other odds n' ends because we hear this could be a pretty bad storm even if it slows down before it gets here. We're a little worried about Steven's parents, they are in Daytona Beach and are scheduled to be hit big time today or tommorow. We called them last night and everything was fine at that point. We may try to call them tonight to make sure it's still going o'kay.

I'll update again after Friday! Keeping our fingers crossed that the baby cooperates and shows us the "good stuff"! ;)

The beginning of our new blog

Hey everyone! I decided to start this new blog so people (meaning family and friends) could keep up with what's happening with us down here in Georgia without having to go on myspace. I'll try to keep up with it and I'll even try to talk Steven into writing an entry every now and then.

So, this has been a busy week. Tomorrow I will be 14 weeks pregnant and most of the early pregnancy symptoms have started to slowly go away. Less nausea, a little more energy and (hopefully for Steve's sake) a little less moody. :) I felt the baby kick for the first time on Tuesday and it was so exciting! Steve isn't able to feel the baby move yet but every time I tell him the baby is moving, he tries anyways.

Hunter is doing great! He's starting to talk a lot more and can say about 60-70 words, most of which only Steve and I can understand. "uice peas" means juice please for example. It's a lot of fun to hear him expressing his wants and needs though. He is going through a rough phase and likes to scream as loud as he can just because he is able to but we do have so much fun with him.

Our big thing this weekend is that we have been preparing for a yard sale all week long and it starts the day after tomorrow. I have sooooo much left to do! It's almost overwhelming at times!

Steve has been in classes all week long. He's taking military classes about guns or something...he seems to be enjoying it and he comes home and studies every night! He was studying for about two hours last night and actually fell asleep reading the manual.

That's about all that's going on for now, we'll keep you all updated!
